Onigiri Gorichan Tenjin

Great little rice ball shop with friendly staff and an authentic feeling atmosphere. As we had just landed in Fukuoka, we just wanted a quick bite to hold us over before dinner. This turned out to be the perfect choice. The fillings are not super generous, but the size and portion were adequate with a reasonable pricing model. The miso soup was tasty as well. Highly recommended to round out the delicious onigiri experience.

I lined up early in the morning with my family and entered. As I heard, the onigiri was so delicious, and the self-service of eating the leftover onigiri with soup was amazing. 👍 We eventually changed the schedule for the next morning and revisited, and we enjoyed the food for two consecutive days. I think the cheerfulness of the boss and the staff will be remembered for a long time. P.S. Do you remember the family that 4 adults and 2 students from Korea visited early in the morning for 2 consecutive days? Thank you for making happy food and memories. I will come back again next time!

Best onigiri in Fukuoka! The rice is incredibly light and the ingredients are super fresh. The Tenjin location is easy to find and the atmosphere is lively. If you’re a fan of Nakazakicho’s original shop, this one definitely lives up to the name. Highly recommended for a quick but satisfying lunch.

Waited far too long in line for what ended up being pretty mediocre, overly salty and quite overpriced onigiri. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but I wasn’t impressed, specially after waiting so long. Overhyped, though service was so friendly.

This is truly a special place! Such friendly, and attentive staff all around. The onigiri was even better with so many different flavors and definitely great size. Afterwards we had mixed the leftover rice in soup and it was delicious!! So wonderful!
