Mót Hội An is incredibly popular, but honestly, it feels a bit overly hyped. While their signature herbal drink is good and provides some much-needed relief from the intense afternoon heat, it’s far from a healthy option. The cup is packed mostly with crushed ice and heavily loaded with sugar. It is a nice, refreshing novelty to try while walking around the Old Town, but it is definitely not worth waiting in a queue for more than 10 minutes. If the line is short, grab one to cool down, but don't stress if you have to skip it.
Unsure why it’s so busy(people taking photos right outside blocking the whole street) however the herbal drink is the star with bamboo straw and water lilly flower. Would recommend going inside to order/drink, food smelt amazing and reasonable price but didn’t try. Great but only when quiet and many local places selling such iced herbal tea. Tried on 2 different days and the drink tasted slightly different…one day being perfect(super tangy and refreshing) and the other a bit too sweet.
When in Hoi An, you absolutely must check out this amazing herbal drink. The drink has a refreshing lemongrass and lime flavor, perfect for cooling down after a tiring walk around the old town. The decoration with small lotus petals is very tasteful. I often stand in front of the shop with my drink in hand, filming videos to edit CapCut for Reels – they're so smooth! The shop only sells takeout; there's no seating area.
Apart from a unique bamboo straw and leaf garnish (lotus flower petal was missing) it was just an ordinary herbal drink to me. 😌 The herbal side was subtle with more of a honey/sugary taste. Lucky the line was short otherwise I would have wasted my time in getting one. 😬
Great way to quickly cool off - the MOT signature iced tea is great. I personally think they could give more tea and less ice - but overall definitely worth having on a boiling hot day to cool you down. Nice and doesn’t taste like the standard Lipton iced tea at all, it tastes homemade and fresh! Definitely go and try!!!
