Very popular cơm tấm restaurant with a good mix of locals and visitors. Generous portion sizes - i wasn’t able to finish the largest plate in one sitting. If you are a western tourist visiting HCMC, you have to try cơm tấm at least once, and this location would be a solid choice.
The food was good and was extremely generous in terms of portion. I do think the large piece of meat given lets it down as it is not properly marinated and the Michelin guides also makes it a spot prone to higher prices. It is still a good spot with good smoothies and something worth trying!
I saw this place recommended by several YouTubers, so I was excited to try it, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The staff seemed rushed and kept pressuring us to order. The food just wasn’t good to me, even though they gave us a large piece of meat—it simply wasn’t very tasty. The floor was also really dirty, and the restaurant was very loud. If you’re visiting Vietnam, I would recommend trying some of the many other cơm tấm restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City instead. I personally wouldn’t come back.
Best com tam in saigon and always eat here on every trip
Every time we are in Sai Gon, we have to have com tam Ba Ghien. Their portion is huge. Food is delicious and well-packed for safe delivery.
