TIỆM CƠM 67 TẤM - Vo Van Tan

We just arrived in Saigon, dropped our bags at our hotel only 10 mins away and came straight here. Fast service. We both had the grilled pork chop, steamed egg meat loaf, fried egg on broken rice. And an extra serving of the grilled chop and a coke. Total cost was $199k vnd. Excellent value for money. It was so delicious, we ate it too fast 😅 we didn’t need the extra serving of pork as the serving size was generous. It was too much food haha. Highly Recommend :-)

One of the best com tam places in District 1! The pork-chop is tender, juicy and perfectly cut so it’s not too thick. There’s a hint of sweetness that balances well with the fish sauce. Skip the overrated places for foreigners and come here instead.

First time trying Com Tam and so I tried this place per the recommendation of my hotel. I am amazed by the freshness, flavor and service of the Com Tam at this restaurant! It seems to be very popular with locals as getting a seat during lunch rush took a minute. I miss this Com Tam and hope I can try it again when I return to HCM - definitely try Com Tam from this place!

Our first time trying cơm tấm (“broken rice”) and it was excellent! I had the signature style with a soft drink for less than $100,000 VND! The restaurant was tucked down a side street and was an authentic experience with many locals enjoying the food which is cooked freshly outside. The service was exceptional and food brought out quickly. Highly recommended for authentic Vietnamese cơm tấm!

Sitting adjacent to my beloved school, HCMC Open University, Cơm Tấm 67 Tấm is a popular spot for office workers and students alike. I was immediately impressed by the name of the place, 67 Tấm, which sounds similar to “67 Tám” (678) in Vietnamese. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference and is quite memorable when people mention the place. The space is simply laid out, yet very clean, airy, and comfortable. The signature dish, broken rice, tastes excellent and comes with a generously sized, well-grilled pork chop, topped with visually appealing scallion oil and served with a slightly sweet, salty, and spicy fish sauce. Everything comes together beautifully, making the dish truly appetizing and perfectly suited to my taste. You can also order a cup of iced tea or other drinks to go with your meal. If you come by motorbike, there’s a friendly uncle who helps organize parking, which is a thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a well-rounded and pleasant breakfast experience. I would definitely come back.
