Onigiri Gorichan Nankai Namba Station

I really enjoyed my visit here. I had seen this place highly rated everywhere and wanted to find out if it truly lived up to the hype or was simply overrated. thankfully, it absolutely deserved the praise. firstly, I arrived right at their opening time, so it was still quiet and easy to get a seat at the counter. the staff were incredibly friendly, spoke a bit of english, and guided me through the menu. I initially ordered two onigiri, and i was surprised by how large they were. each one was generously packed with fillings and felt very satisfying. even though I was already full after the first two, I enjoyed them so much that i ended up ordering a third. I also appreciated the free green tea and soup, which you can use to make your own ochazuke-style meal to finish up your meal. for vegetarians and vegans, there are plenty of options available and everything is clearly labeled, making ordering very easy. overall, the combination of warm service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a very special and memorable dining experience. it’s easy to see why this place is so highly rated, and I would gladly come back again given the chance.

I had an amazing experience!!! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, making sure we were well taken care of and taking the time to talk to us even though they were busy working. Food was excellent, the onigiris were filled to the brim (excuse the pic) and rice in Japan just hits different! Will be back the next time I’m in Osaka♥️

We were looking for this place and it turns out to be inside the train station of Namba. You have to go in. It’s a cute little shop. You can get it to go but I recommend sitting down so you can try to enjoy Ochazuke. Miyu was our server and she was exceptionally sweet and welcoming. She allowed us to sit down and told us enjoying it fresh versus cold! Food was so good and I didn’t know putting dashi broth over your rice ball would hit differently. It’s very comforting. We’ll be stopping back before closing time instead of going conbini for Onigiri!!!

Really good onigiri for a reasonable price! The owner gave us complimentary tea because we had to wait and the entire atmosphere and the staff were very enthusiastic! Will recommend coming back again! The shop is located inside the station so you do have to ask the information counter to be able to go in
