These were very plump & tasty banh cuon. We ordered from Grab and were still delicious after a 20 minute commute. 10/10 recommend.
Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! Like every day, I continue to feed my hunger for banh cuon. This time, the rice roll is decadently smooth, just thin enough for you to see and to contain the generous filling within, with a whisper of fermentation that lends a delicate tang. The blend of minced pork, jicama and wood ear mushrooms is the usual; the sheer volume and the flavourful fish sauce separate it from your typical street vendor. Toppings include lightly sweet fried shallots, sweet pork floss and bouncy fried Vietnamese sausage. Double down on the carbs with the shrimp pancake.
This is a very nice place for banh cuon with English menu. There are two entrances. I was here around 14:00 on a weekday, so it was not crowded at all. Each table has a pitcher of fish sauce and bowls, chopsticks. The menu said banh cuon dac biet was 60k, but on my receipt it was 78k. The banh cuon was very tasty, especially with the fish sauce. I also got the lemongrass tea with lime. It was 20k and so refreshing. I would get that drink again. Shocking to me was they charged 1.000 VND for a wet napkin.
Loved the bánh cuốn here! They come with a generous amount of meats and a nice thick layer, soft, fresh, and really satisfying. The fish sauce is amazing, perfectly balanced and flavorful. Service is fast and expeditious, exactly the kind you’d expect for this style of spot. Quick, efficient, and no fuss.Great value and authentic taste. Definitely recommend if you’re craving quality bánh cuốn!
(update in 2026): My second visit here (2y later) and the bánh cuốn while perfectly steamed with a great texture, tasted slightly sourish? There was also lesser fillings this time round (80% dough 20% fillings) which was a bummer. The fried fritter with prawn and mung bean was served cold and tasted a little stale, probably been left there for a while. (first experience in 2024) Had an amazing experience eating with my family here. The huge jar on the table is not free tea but their fish sauce. I love how you can see the auntie cook the bánh cuốn fresh and put the woodear pork filling. The restaurant is also very clean with proper tables and chairs.
