It's Banh Cuon shop, which was selected by Michelin in 2026. The location is a bit difficult to stop by because it's located in the very heavy trafic street. Anyway the food quality was good as Michelin, and the service was not bad. I'm not sure if they increased the price after selected or originally it was. Bascially Banh Cuon is the foos with low price, but the pruce here is not cheap. I think it cost may be doubled comparing to the typical one. The price itself is not expensive as "Food". Probably the Banh Cuon itself may be better than the others. You may feel the same tastes at the other shop because it's difficult to differentiate by this food.
Banh Cuon Tay Ho 127 Located at the intersection of Dinh Tien Hoang Street and Huynh Khuong Ninh Street, Banh Cuon Tay Ho 127 is one of the oldest and most well-known banh cuon restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City. It has been recognized by the Michelin Guide in the Bib Gourmand category, which highlights restaurants offering excellent food at reasonable prices. The restaurant serves a variety of banh cuon fillings, accompanied by Vietnamese pork sausage (cha lua), cinnamon pork sausage (cha que), fermented pork rolls (nem chua), and especially its crispy, fragrant fried shallots, which add a wonderful flavor to the dish. The rice rolls are thin, soft, and silky, while the dipping sauce is well-balanced and complements everything perfectly. If you enjoy traditional Northern Vietnamese cuisine, this is definitely a place worth visiting. In my opinion, it fully deserves its recognition by the Michelin Guide.
Highly recommended! This Vietnamese bánh cuốn (rice noodle roll) shop is absolutely worth making a special trip for. Their signature egg & pork rolls and shrimp rolls are excellent — the noodles are thin and silky, with generous, fresh fillings bursting with authentic flavors. Portions are substantial and prices are very reasonable. A must-try highlight during your Ho Chi Minh City trip!
We had Banh Cuon for breakfast this morning. The steamed rice wrap is so yummy and springy with great texture; it mixed so well with fish sauce and fried shallots. Food is served within minutes after ordering by the friendly and helpful staff. The lady boss even let my daughter have a try on making the Banh Cuon. ! Great experience. Shall be back for more Banh Cuon ;p
Wanted to try banh cuon for breakfast before we leave Saigon and stumbled upon a TikTok video recommending this place. Realised it was recently Michelin awarded when we arrived From the start boss lady was very friendly and explained the menu to us. She also taught us the proper way to enjoy banh cuon, she was so nice at a certain point I thought she was going to feed me 🤣🤣🤣. The food was delicious, better than our “Chee Cheong Fan” back home. We even got an impromptu workshop before we left. Definitely a spot we will be coming back to in the future!
