A must-try chicken rice spot in Danang! Com Ga A Hai (mean Hai Bro chicken rice) is a legend for chicken rice. It’s a rustic, long-standing local spot that gets absolutely packed. When I dropped by for lunch, both the indoor & outdoor seating were totally filled ~100 guests, a massive line of shippers & locals waiting for takeaway. So, it's gonna be ~30 min to get your meal. For 1.6-2.6$ (40k-60k VND)/meal, the value is amazing with options like shredded chicken, drumsticks, or roasted chicken rice etc.. The rice has a gorgeous, appetizing golden-yellow color. I ordered 2 portions of roasted chicken rice, they served 1 with a huge drumstick and the other with a huge chicken wing. The chicken was firm, juicy, sweet, and incredibly fragrant. Plus, the manager is super pretty! 🥰

The fried chicken here is really nice and flavorful! However, the overall cleanliness of the place could use a bit of improvement. With a little more attention to tidying up the dining area, this spot would be perfect.

I was told that this place is good but when I tried it I can't agree. In my honest opinion if you're going to open to 10pm, the food has to be as fresh as 10am. I brought in 8 people to try at this place guaranteed it was the best chicken place to eat. All I hear was complaints that the food was too dry, chicken wasn't good, and many more negative feedback, just too many to list. The smallest complaint was the napkins. Instead of toilet tissues for napkins, at the very least, they used very thin paper that, for greasy foods, that is not a good choice. We all end up using our own wet towels, which is highly recommended to bring if you eat here. Food wise, it was a big portion for the price. The rice was red colored, not plain white, which is typical of traditional Vietnamese rice color. The chicken thigh portion was very large, maybe two people can share. Orange juice was too sweet, added too much sugar. We ate late, around 9pm, almost closing. Does this late time justify the dry food and sloppy service? It doesn't matter if I came in at 10am or 9pm before closing, I think the food should be as good and fresh as when they just cooked it early in the morning. I hope this helps for those coming here for late dinners. You will be disappointed of the food not being fresh.

Great Com Ga Quay. It is a whole leg, rice, veggies, and side soup for just 65k. When you get there, sit down and wait to order, you can also call somebody to order. The menu is on the wall. People like drinking iced tea there too. After you order you get some sauce and a soup to eat with the com ga. After you eat you can ask to pay or find the person in the front to pay. Food was expectipnal for the price. Crispy and juicy chicken. It came right out of the fryer and was super hot. Soup was extremely flavorful and full of greens. Rice was nice and soft and the side sauce and vegetables added to the meal nicely. Definitely come and try.

Food was surprisingly really good. I usually steer away from high rating places, but this deserves a 4 stars in taste. I got two dishes: Ga quay (fried) Ga xe (shredded). Both dishes were enjoyable paired with the sauces. What stood out were these little pieces of crunchy rice bits in the yellow rice. The rice was flavored perfectly and the crunch that went along with it was amazing. The soup was also very comforting. I will be back!
