The Crab costs 800/Kg. There are lot of live animals to choose from to eat. A sea food person's paradise. One has to choose from fresh catch. Squid, prawn, crab, fish,oyester etc. Everything is available for the food platter. Most people dont know English and lot of viet tourists can be found here. Cat Ba bay view is great. One can search for a rooftop bar here and have a nice evening. Not very far from here there is a cheaper place which has road side stalls and serves Vietnamese food. There are a few Pizza/English food restaurants as well.
Costs 20k pP at night. We stood close to it an waited for some friends and observed, that no one paid. Everyone turned around. Not sure what they are aiming for with the entry price.
Went here on the walk back from Cat Co No 1. during the day. Vendors don't haggle and try to get as much money from foreigners as the can. Also, don't give correct change. I was looking for a sarong and cap, caps were dirty, stained. Don't waste your time at this market. Australians and New Zealanders take heed!
If you would like to have a walk after dinner, this is a nice visit. They have mostly clothing for tourists. You can bargain but they dont give much discount.
Do not buy the max crisp chocolate! Our block was infested with dead worm type things that had woven a web in the packaging. Disgusting! They also don't treat the resident cat very well. The food selection is dated and poor quality and service is not very good.
