Bún quậy Thanh Hùng 1
Why worth it
- Serves bun quay, a Phu Quoc specialty where you get noodles, fish balls, shrimp and broth separately and mix it yourself
- Named among the islands go-to spots for the dish in local food guides
- A more interactive, DIY dining experience than a typical noodle soup
- A good starting point if youve never tried this Phu Quoc-only dish before

A decent place to try Bun quay at Phu Quoc. I was impressed by fresh food and chewy rice noodle here, but the serving was quite slow. I haven't tried at Kien Xay restaurant so cannot provide comparison. Anyway still highly recommend
Really loved the noodles at this place - it was very comforting. The sauce was very nice :) Hot take: this is better than the Bun Quay at Kien Xay. This was so good we had to go back again before flying off. Thanks for the great noodles, will recommend to anyone visiting phu quoc :)
One of the best Vietnamese noodle soups I’ve ever had, highly recommend the shrimp patty (Tom) & squid (muc) combo. And a sugarcane & kumquat juice!
Bún was okay. They gave free extra onions. The seafood lacked of taste. Most importantly, there was no air conditioner so it was mot enjoyable to sweat while eating a hot bowl of soup. I would prefer the other popular Bún Quậy restaurant Kiến Xây.
Definitely one for the locals, so you know it's legit. You only really get a choice of three or four dishes, and they're all noodle in broth with different meat options. The noodle soup with shrimp cake and squid were great.
