This stall is elite. The xôi is fresh and seriously good. We spent 20k VND for two big portions. We overheard a local woman ask the vendor why she’s selling her sticky rice so cheap and she replied “to help the people who can’t afford it”. Whatever you get, make sure you get it with extra mung beans, fried shallots, and pork floss.
Super cheap eats with a fairly large crowd/line of locals. You can buy sticky rice by $ amount. We ordered 10k worth of xôi gấc (the orange/red one). It was definitely way more than 1 person should eat. I would say that this is more of a filler food and not as flavorful as other xôi gấc sold by other vendors. This one had less flavor and rice was a bit more hard. Not bad for the price but wouldn’t return if I was craving for sweet sticky rice.
Business was booming , we bought 3 packs of different flavors and went to a cafe to enjoy it.we didn't finish it though as the sticky rice was tasteless.
We tried xoi xeo. Its really good and one portion is only 10000 VND.
Brilliant little take out spot. Jumping with locals clearly getting food for the day. People there really helpful as unsure what to order. Get a 10,000 or 5000 portion then (if you’re European like me) grab a seat outside at a cafe and eat with a nice coffee! Maybe bring chop sticks or spoon but I just used my hand. First class 👍🏼
