One of the best breakfast meals I've had, and definitely a place I'd return to. Even though they only serve Vietnamese rice rolls (bánh cuốn), the dish was simple, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. The aunties working there were very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the full set, which was just the right portion for two people, enough to keep us satisfied while still leaving room for our next food-hunting stop. Highly recommended for a delicious and authentic local breakfast experience 😊
I was not familiar with their specialty, banh cuon, but it looked interesting so I stopped in, they had a menu in English with pictures, with very inexpensive prices. Reminded me of something that I had eaten in Malaysia, which I enjoyed and I enjoyed this as well. I was talking to a young lady there who leads food tours, and she was there with one of our customers, so that speaks very loudly that the food tour people like this particular restaurant.
popular local breakfast spot, aside from pho. the rice roll is made fresh with 2 options, one with mushroom and minced pork or with egg. the shop is run by a group of ladies, very friendly. i told one of the lady the full size portion is too big for me so she gave me half (of course i am still paying full haha). i love the egg one in particular, the dipping sauce is a nice touch, its very light but tasty. definitely a must try!
The aunties who run this place are adorable and incredibly friendly. I almost wanted to gatekeep it, but they truly deserve all the business they can get. The rice rolls were thin, juicy, soft, and succulent—so good that I ordered a second serving. Ordering is easy with the English menu; just point to what you’d like. Definitely get the set. If I had more time, I’d go back multiple times. It’s located opposite the famous pho spot—and honestly, this beat the pho hands down.
Tourist friendly and yummy steamed rice rolls! They’re able to speak English and food came out quick, the meat portions are a bit smaller so you may need to order extra if you like meat! Everything tasted good and was fresh.
