Been to Giang Cafe many times and honestly, it’s still worth the hype. I personally love their authentic Cà Phê Sữa Đá more than the Egg Coffee. For me, the iced coffee is best paired with Bánh Mì. I always end up ordering both the Cà Phê Sữa Đá and Egg Coffee anyway! Lol I also love the ambiance. It feels like a traditional Vietnamese home turned into a cozy coffee house, which gives it so much character. They have another branch at Trang Tien Plaza, but that one feels more like a modern café. Come early in the morning or around brunch time if you want a better chance of choosing a nice seat, especially on the veranda or in the AC room. Definitely a Hanoi classic worth experiencing.

We visited this cafe to try Hanoi’s famous egg coffee. The place was small from the outside but full with the customers in every corner. Even though there are many customers, the service was good, and our order was served quickly. We ordered the original iced egg coffee, along with the cocoa and mung bean versions. The egg foam was good and creamy without any fishy taste. Definitely worth trying and highly recommended!

It’s not fancy, but that’s exactly the appeal—authentic, relaxed, and full of character. A great place to slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy a truly local coffee experience.

Cafe Giang is famous for its legendary egg coffee, and now I understand why. The creamy, velvety egg foam combined perfectly with the strong Vietnamese coffee, creating a drink that felt more like a dessert than a regular cup of coffee. Every sip was smooth, indulgent, and unforgettable. Beyond the coffee itself, the atmosphere was authentic and welcoming, giving me a glimpse into Hanoi’s rich coffee culture. It’s amazing to think that this is the birthplace of egg coffee, and you can feel the history and tradition in every cup they serve. If you’re visiting Hanoi, Cafe Giang is an absolute must-visit. For me, it wasn’t just about having a coffee—it was about experiencing a part of Vietnam’s culture coffee and sunflower seeds Without a doubt, one of the best coffee experiences I’ve ever had.
